With seed funding from the World Bank, we spent 14-months designing the Nuru Lighting system. With the customer in mind, we spent our time in rural Rwanda, field-testing the light, taking extensive feedback from actual users. Based on our findings, we created a light that is not only affordable and durable, but is also tailor-made to meet the needs of the Base of the Pyramid consumer.
